Writing produced or enhanced by using generative AI tools will not be eligible for contests, publication, or oral presentations in the WGA, unless they are part of a workshop being given to explain and understand AI tools. The official WGA stance on this topic is that AI tools generate writing based on other works, and is not original. We welcome human-produced creative writing. Let’s use our talents to produce new works.
