The October and November meets of WGA will feature prompt competitions, but in different ways.
October: The category is Fiction, and the prompt is “I was going to…, but I changed my mind.“

Also nominations for Board positions are open. President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Historian, Newsletter Editor, Website Admin, and Publicist. If you wish to become a board member, you may self-nominate.
November’s meeting is moved up a week to avoid the Thanksgiving week, so it will be Tuesday, November 17.
November: The Category is Memoir, and the prompt is “My most memorable dance” For this month ONLY we are allowing entries from any member even if they cannot attend. (I use the term “they” as is commonly accepted for any unnamed member.) The entry must follow all the rules (500 word limit, Printed copy available and digital copy if selected as a winner.) What is different is that the member can send the entry to a proxy to read aloud in the meeting. We hope by doing this we get more entries from members who normally cannot participate. If the author is not present, the token gift card will not be awarded.
As you know, there is no meeting in December.
