Tuesday, September 29 we have a newly scheduled speaker, member Thomas S. Smith, Sr. Mr. Smith is a much published writer of a series of novels, and a contributor to our Treasury series. His specific topic will be announced. This means that the Famous Prompt Competition that was scheduled for September is now for October 27. The Prompt is “I was going to…but I changed my mind.”
And, we have extended the deadline for submissions to the Treasury of Louisiana Writers. You now have until October 1 to send in a story, poem, memoir, or non-fiction piece, as per the guidelines. So if you have been procrastinating (dawdling, lollygagging, postponing, stalling, deferring, or dilly-dallying), now is the time to get on the ball and send it in.
Also in October nominations for the Board of Directors of WGA will be open. If you would like to help determine the future of our Guild, consider a self-nomination.
